Following a decision at September's committee meeting it has been decided to move to digital membership cards.
This move has several advantages for both admin and members alike.
Members will carry their membership card in their Apple or Google wallet, if the member doesn't have a phone that is compatible with these then a separate wallet app is available to install onto the members phone.
Player's membership with the exception of walking rugby will remain as a seasons membership.
VP, Social and Walking rugby membership will move to 12 month rolling memberships, which will be easier to manage for admin.
The membership card will be issued via email which may go into your junk or spam. The email will show as being sent from Fakenham Rugby Club and the subject will be You have a membership card from Fakenham RUFC . Members who have a live membership and didn't pay via the membership QR codes, should check their email address is still valid within GMS.
Anyone who has a live membership should have had their membership card issued by 26th September, if you haven't received your card by then, please contact the membership secretary (Rob Ward) directly.
When your membership card expires the bar code will firstly become grayed out and then shortly afterwards the card will be removed from the wallet.
To obtain discount at the bar, just show the membership card on your phone, there is no need to have it scanned. This speeds up the process that we might otherwise have had to use to check physical cards were in date.
