Age Grade Rugby

We are a family friendly rugby club based in the heart of North Norfolk and have been established since 1982 and have running a growing and successful junior section for over 20 years. We are an RFU Accredited Club – details of the scheme can be found here.

Age Grade Rugby covers groups Under 5's to Under 18's; with Mini Rugby from Under 5's to Under 12's, and Youth Rugby from Under 13's to Under 18's.

Our emphasis is on enjoyable, safe rugby for all, but that has not stopped our teams from having a winning mentality. We follow the RFU continuum; under which the game is introduced in stages starting with Under 5/6 age groups who learn the basic skills through to the Under 13's who start to play 15 a-side on a full size pitch and then onto Under 18's in preparation for senior rugby.

Competitive games are introduced at Under 7s age group, cup matches are introduced from Under 13s onwards and friendly matches are played at all ages. Representative rugby is also introduced at Under 14s age group with selection to represent Norfolk at County level and then Eastern Counties. Players from the club have gone on to represent at all levels up to and including England for their age groups, as witnessed by the shirts proudly hanging in the clubhouse.

Generally the rugby season starts on the first Sunday in September and runs through to the last Sunday of April.
